Description

Our popular Dryline range has been brought up to date with a fresh new look and the introduction of 100% polyester with recycled content. Yet it still retains its tough water-resistant features, high quality Rixen & Kaul fittings and patented Dryline taped lining to help keep your belongings dry.

Ready for adventuring the Altura Dryline 56 Waterproof Cycling Panniers are a compact 56L pannier set perfect for adventures with a water-resistant finish, zipped lid pocket, two side stash pockets and  webbing compatible with Altura Anywhere Drybags.

A smart Rixen & Kaul KLICKfix fitting allows for a quick attachment and removal for use off the bike as a shoulder bag thanks to an adjustable, removable shoulder strap and can be used with most racks. Complete with a reinforced lower kickplate to avoid damage to the base of the bag.

*Whilst the waterproof fabric and welded seams of the internal lining bag provide protection from the elements, this product is not submersible and should not be left sitting in water. The lid pocket and side pockets are water resistant, not waterproof. We recommend valuables or electronics should be secured in a dry bag inside the main body of the bag for extra security

paniers

very with purchase

Dryline 56 pannier - almost perfect!

I'm a cycle commuter and shopper, primarily - so I don't use panniers for touring.
I'm delighted with the quality and construction of the panniers, as I was with a previous version, which I bought over 15 years ago.
The rack attachment clip system - unchanged - is again superb, reliable and quick.
The closure clips are more fussy and less easy to use - I think the originals were better.
All the loops on the outside of the panniers are irrelevant to me, because of the reasons I use them.
However the new (to me) orange liner is excellent.
That's all!

Really impressed

I was initially apprehensive about the focus on using recycled materials in the construction of these panniers - I thought I'd rather they were well made, I don't really need them to be recycled!

I bought them because I’ve used a previous incarnation if this model of Altura pannier for 20yrs, and they've been faultless.

Fortunately I've been really impressed with the new version, the materials seem absolutely excellent. The addition of a lid pocket and pockets on either end of the panniers is a really welcome upgrade from the 2003 version, as is webbing on the pannier body and lid for attaching lights, reflectors, etc.

Thoroughly recommended.

sturdy, stylish, but missing crucial detail

I have used Altura panniers for a decade or so, and was satisfied with it to the point that only reluctantly I decided to ditch the old ones, now damaged in multiple parts. The new pannier is sturdy and stylish but misses a zipped external pocket that I had on the old ones, which was crucial for keys and other important items you need at hand yet protected, as you commute, shop, etc. The new panniers have two external pockets but both are open (and upwards!), which means that the whole bag (the top lid and the internal rollable bag) needs to be open to store such items.

Pleasantly surprised.

I like the panniers, build quality seems high and they are put together nicely. I was a bit bamboozled by the 52l capacity; these are 26l each so are relatively compact panniers. The MOLLE style webbing covering these is nice and works well For mounting lights. There are a wide range of pouches that would fit these too, often military equipment as this is where the system originates from.

You need relatively good admin to secure the zipped lid pocket. It’s hard to visually see if you’ve left it unzipped so you need to get in the habit of keeping it closed when toting these around, particularly on the transition between bike storage and desk.
