  1. Chest: Measure the chest around the fullest part, placing the tape close up to the underarms, making sure the tape measure is horizontal across the shoulder blades.
  2. Waist: Measure around the natural waistline (find the natural crease by bending to one side) keeping the tape horizontal.
  3. Hips: Feet together, measure around the fullest part.

Description

Fit and comfort across all areas is everything when it comes to a pair of bib shorts you trust and want to wear every ride. It is for this reason that we designed the Altura Icon Men's Cycling Bib Shorts.

Working closely with Elastic Interface we have developed this exclusive pad design which focusses on comfort to body weight ratio with denser foam used in the pads for our larger sizes to ensure a comfortable ride for every rider.

For added comfort we have used clever, Italian Miti carbon fabric placed in key areas to draw toxins away from the skin for a fresh feel. This accomplished all-rounder is completed by soft touch bib straps which help to prevent chafing, a high wicking mesh back to help maintain freshness and reflective detailing to keep you seen by others making this a feature-packed, iconic design.

Overall quality is good for the price though the chamois lets these down a bit. I’ve had a few pairs of bib shorts from different brands all around a similar price to these and would say they are okay for a short distance though wouldn’t recommend for anything over 2 hours in the saddle.
If Altura used a slightly better chamois this would improve the comfort and experience to where it should be.

Altura sizes are questionable

2nd Altura item I’ve bought and the sizing is questionable, followed the size guide, bought large and while the shorts are ok the bib section is just a bit too short and uncomfortable. Stuck with them as I have used them. I can’t imagine who they use as models but a medium sized man ought to be able to fit in a large.
Pretty good quality and good price while on sale.
