First of all, the rack is not fully equipped! There are supposed to be three more screws. The first one is fastening parts of the rack (picture 1), and the other two have to be connected to a bike frame.Otherwise, this is a well-made product: well welded and professionally painted.
If you already have mudguards on you bike you may find you need to buy longer M5 Allen bolts to attach the rack as I did. Very solid rack and the process of attaching it to my bike was straightforward.
Very impressed with this product. It is priced incredibly reasonably and constructed with durable materials that can withstand the wear and tear of everyday use. Installing this bike rack was a breeze and only took me about 15 minutes to complete. I was surprised at how securely it fitted to my Carrera Vengeance, and it doesn't add any significant weight to my bike either making the ride performance undisturbed.Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. It is an excellent addition to my cycling gear, and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a reliable and affordable bike rack.
Super light. Quality build. Screws with threadseal hidden within in the cardboard flap. Don't panic! :) Way better than any rack I saw at Halfords. The lower side bars mean you can easily fit a top bag without it getting in the way. The Thule packs I use with it also lock nicely into place with their additional locking mechanisms fitting nicely too to stop them flapping. The side racks run wide and low meaning you bags won't flap about on your gears, brakes, wheel system. A really nice bit of kit. Installed in less than 10 mins with the holes available on my bike.
For all those who say it doesn't come with screws/bolts/fixings, make sure you check inside the cardboard that is attached to the pannier rack. It's very easy to miss and think that they are missing. Please check the attached pictures.All in all the pannier rack was easy to install. It's lightweight, sturdy and excellent quality.
I've been looking for a rack to stay a little cycle touring and spotted this little gem. It was a doddle to attach to my bike and looks really robust. The max weight is 25kg and I never took that abroad for two weeks so for the purpose I need it for this is more than adequate. I haven't yet loaded and ridden the bike with it attached but how to soon. There was one little niggle which customer service dealt with immediately and rectified. When it arrives ensure that between the cardboard is a little baggy as this contains the 40mm screws which you need to affix the rear of the rack to the wheel mount. The staple was in the cardboard but no bag with screws. Yet as I've mentioned, Customer Service were first class in sorting this issue.Once I've test ridden with it loaded I'll update my review.
Installed onto my Giant Roam in minutes, nice and easy. Im using Ortlieb pannier bags and they fit perfectly. Time will tell how it lasts but I did 60km today with no movement or rattling. Would recommend.
This could possibly be the best bike carrier! East to install, great finish and very lightweight.I had to cut a 10mm section off the bottom fixings as these were too smaller gap for my frame. After this it fitted perfectly! Please note:You may not have to do this to yours.You may be scratching your head saying should this not come with fixing bolts? But yes it does these are between the cardboard tag!Once fitted this is a sturdy carrier.Some on the bolting comes with screw retaining compound on them already another great touch.Buy it you won't be disappointed!
I am not writing this review for payment or favour.Excellent rack..light and very sturdy..welds are quality and design is solid.I was concerned how the bott fitted but upon closer inspection it is tailor made to accept a fit for the 2 bolts to screw into the frame.The design is spot on

Item arrived in big box since the rack itself is already assembled which is a good thing. I am surprised how light it is. Its made of aluminium and has a weight limit of 25kg load. The welds of the rack is excellent. It seems to be robust. The screws and washers are made of stainless steel. The paint is textured matte black so that the hook on the bag wont move around while in transit.Overall, I am happy with my purchase. 100% recommended specially for commuters and travellers.

The rack is fine except for the long lugs at the axle area location fixing . Not sure what they are for ? They totally interfere with the levers on the end of the rear axle . Would be fine for allen key type . I just cut them off .
A well made product as always from Tortec. Ordered this rack for my Ribble E-Bike because it has been designed for Dics brakes, alas no the support struts are too narrow to straddle the rear hub.

Stuck this rack on my Whyte Dorset. It's been on for 3 thousand miles with various loads. No issues with this lightweight rack at all. The finish has endured - looks like as new even now!The extra girth to avoid Disc brakes is a good design feature.The securing bolts have not shifted at all and not needed to be re tightened in all those miles!Recommend this product without hesitation.. Tortec racks are the Rolls Royce of racks !
I have 26 X 4 inch fat bike and this fits perfectly with a bit of light force. Came with all fixing needed. Feels really well made and holds the panniers well away from the spokes. A dream for commuting but I expect would suit other uses too. Don't got for a cheap Chinese one when you can pay very slightly more and then never have to buy again!
So far so good, good size i will let you know in the future when i use it bit more

Great and solid bike rack, easy to install.
I initially cursed that the attachment bolts were missing and a lack of instructions, I found some bolts at home so decided to go ahead rather than send it back. In removing the label on the bracket it turns out that what looks like one piece of card is actually a folded card and the bolts and instructions are inside - not obvious.So a bit fiddley in attaching but is now on and seems solid so happy.
